Let's face it, being gluten-free can be a bit rubbish when you're out and about.
Especially when everyone else is choosing from a counter full of cakes and you're left with one lonely brownie in a packet. If you're lucky.
We think it's about time that changed.
The Phoenix Cake Company is a completely gluten-free bakery with a converted horsebox, proper barista coffee and a growing determination to get to as many events as possible.
Why? Because there simply aren't enough places where people with coeliac disease can turn up and have the same choice as everyone else.
No separate gluten-free section. No settling for whatever happens to be available.
Just a whole counter full of cakes that you can actually choose from.
And you don't have to be gluten-free to enjoy them. Good cake is good cake.
We're here to do things differently. And we're only just getting started.
The Phoenix Hatch
Because apparently the horsebox wasn't enough.
We've been working on something a little different.
The Phoenix Hatch is our newest addition. A little cake shed where you'll be able to pick up your favourite Phoenix bakes on selected days when we're not out at events.
Think brownies, cookies, cake slices and whatever else has come out of the kitchen that week.
It's something we've wanted to do for a while, and we're excited to finally bring it to life.
Weddings & Celebrations
Who says you have to do things traditionally?
Our converted horsebox is available for weddings and private celebrations, bringing something a little different to your day.
From Prosecco and miniature cake canapés during your drinks reception to a whole counter of cakes instead of a traditional wedding cake, or a fully hosted bar for your evening guests.
We don't believe every wedding needs to follow the same formula.

Everything is tailored to your celebration, with the details and costs agreed in advance.

We're very particular about what comes out of our kitchen.
Everything we bake is gluten-free, made in our dedicated gluten-free kitchen.
And we're not interested in making cakes that are just good for gluten-free.
We want them to be good enough that nobody even thinks about whether they're gluten-free or not.
Alongside our cakes, we serve freshly made barista coffee, hot chocolates, seasonal specials and plenty of other favourites.
Our menu changes depending on the event, but our commitment to being completely gluten-free doesn't.
A little help goes along way
We're a small independent business with some rather big ideas.
And one of those ideas is to make Phoenix available to as many gluten-free people as possible.
But we can't be everywhere at once. Believe me, I've tried.
